For A Good Cause

No comments:

I've just added something a little different to the website. Its a Military Art Print, and you can find it here:
This is special project for me, as this illustration is of the aircraft flown by two pilots in my husband's Company who were killed in Iraq last year. I was asked as a favor to make these available on my site for sale, and I am happy to do so. 100% of the proceeds of the sale of these prints go to the families of the two fallen soldiers. We are not profiting from these in any way. It is a very beautiful print, if you'd like to see a larger version of it, please email me. I have it in .pdf format, but I don't know how to post it in that format, but I can email it to anyone that would like to see it. Thanks so much!

Where to find us

No comments:
If you are at Ft. Drum, you can find Hero On My Arm Purses and Accessories at:

Off the Beatin' Path Gifts
(20% of the proceeds benefit wounded warriors and deployed soldiers and their families)

And for all of our Ft. Hood customers, Kelley will have a booth at the Freedom Fest July 4th at Hood Stadium. The Arts and Crafts tent will open from 12 pm to 11pm and will be located on the fields behind Darnall Medical Center. Come hear the 4th ID band, games and actives for the entire family, 1st Cav's horse detachment demonstration, food, parachute jump team, see the fireworks and buy a purse- all in the same day! Can't beat that :)

Bragging on my husband

My husband was asked to speak the Safety Stand Down Day here on post last week, and he was mentioned in the local paper for it.
From the ARMY FLIER:

by Michelle Owens
Army Flier Staff Writer
..."CW3 Steve Hart, an AH-64D Apache Longbow instructor-pilot, discussed the importance of crew coordination with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 110th Aviation Brigade.  Hart and his co-pilot were shot down during a recent deployment to Iraq. He played his radio conversation with his co-pilot and the group listened to the effective crew coordination that saved the soldiers' lives during the traumatic experience. "At the time, I didn't even realize I had done and said these things until I had the chance to hear the audio.  Even though the canopies were blown out and the aircraft was hit, we were still able to talk to each other and communicate what we wanted to do to try and get the aircraft down," he said."

Go husband!

For Everyone at Ft. Hood

No comments:
It really snuck up on me, but the Rabbit Fest is this weekend at the Copperas Cove City Park. It is:
Thursday: 6-10 pm
Friday: 5-10 pm
Saturday: 9 am-10 pm
Sunday: 9am-5pm

We have a booth set up there, so if you are at Ft. Hood, stop by and say hi to Kelley, and order a purse while you're there. Wish I could be there, too!
Directions to the fair are:

From 190 WEST, turn RIGHT on MAIN Street, turn RIGHT on 116, turn LEFT on 1113.  Go down to the orange cones in the middle of the road and park on the right.

Kelley said there are good signs at each turn to guide you to the festival.  Our booth is near the stage and the food.

Wallets, Wallets, Wallets and more Wallets

No comments:
We added a large wallet to our website back in December, and I just have to say how much that I really love them and I'm so happy that everyone's ordering one. They can be personalized with any color trim, embroidery (or a name tape) on the front, matching fabric from your purse on the inside, and they have a spot for cash, a zippered pocket for change and 6 credit card slots.

Feeling Sorry for Myself

No comments:
I shouldn't complain, but I just can't help doing it just a little...Along with trying to live and work in a tiny studio apartment for 6 months while our house is being built, being overwhelmed with work, dealing with horribly dishonest sellers who have copied text from my website, tried to alter and use our logo, and most recently actually taken pictures of our completed purses and tried to pass them off as their own, a recent case of stomach flu which affected our entire family, the latest of the "why me's?" is the fact that while my car was PARKED at the post office (in a row ENTIRELY by itself, I might add) someone managed to back right into it. Keeping everything in perspective, I know this isn't the worst thing in the world, far from it, its just when it happens, it really sucks, ya know?

New Accessories

We've added several new patches to the accessories page on the website:

The Piney Woods Arts Festival

No comments:
I had so much fun at our last show, the Piney Woods Arts Festival in Enterprise, AL. It was great to get out in the community and introduce ourselves since we just moved here a few months ago. I love how the local delicacies are so different from region to region- I just can't imagine seeing this sign at the State Fair in Texas!
PS- It DOES NOT taste like chicken!!!

Forgive Me

No comments:
I can't believe its been almost two months since I've posted anything on the blog, I hope you'll all forgive me! I do have lots to post, so I'll get caught up this evening.
